Stay tuned: We have been going into deep internal introspection, and strategizing, and have some exciting plans and developments to unfold in 2026!End Note: we are dedicated to creating stewardship through deep engagement — primarily through our youth programming. We devote ourselves to sustain the Mississippi River as the nation’s best model of a healthy, balanced and resilient river ecosystem. Your partnership provides us the possibility to passionately create projects and programming focused on our children — such as our week-long Mississippi River Youth Leadership Camp. Our Canoe Camp is specifically designed to foster long-term stewardship of the river amongst Delta kids. Students learn to canoe and camp, as well as the history and ecology of the Mississippi. Each day during the week, they take on more responsibility as they learn the skills necessary for survival — on the river, and in their lives. Canoe Camp began in 2018, and takes place annually in May/June. We believe that working together we can create a better, healthier world — and we see it reflecting clearly through our children’s eyes — and the eyes of all creatures thriving along the Lower Miss. We remain yours, in service of our river, and our communities, Board: Kevin Smith, Shannon McMulkin, Scott Shirey, Erin Lee, Charity Hallman, Owen Jones and David Hill Volunteers & Advisory Board: “EB” Erickson Blakney, Shonda Warner, Curtis Boschert, Aallyah Wright, Mark "River" Peoples, Robin Ladner, and John Ruskey (all former board members and/or directors, active and non-active)
