Community Canoe Valentine's Day Saturday, Feb 14th: meet 1pm at Quapaw Canoe Company in downtown Clarksdale. Advance reservations required. Rain in forecast, cloudy and high in the 60s. Dress for weather. Sunday rain date. If rainy Sunday, ultimate postpone is next month, Mar 7th. 6 minimum, 18 maximum. 1-6pm, $50 each, $25 educators, free for kids under 18 y/o. All paddle together, no previous experience necessary, but must be willing to paddle, and must wear life jacket! Made possible in partnership with the Lower Mississippi River Foundation. For Community Canoe, each person should pack: Essentials: water bottle(s) and snacks sun protection (Hat sunscreen, sunglasses) rain protection (poncho, rain jacket, and/or umbrella) bug protection (Spring, Summer, Fall) sandals or shoes that can get muddy and wet (or go barefoot!) Warm clothes as needed on Cool or Rainy Days Winter/Spring Essentials: gloves or mittens scarf warm hat sweater or fleece wind/rain jacket hot beverage in thermos Optional: cell phone camera bird book binoculars sketch book musical instrument fishing pole
