Mississippi Race Record: We were there! (in our cypress strip Cricket Canoe). We brought the World Record Race Team guys fresh watermelon and lemonade on hot afternoon, in between Island 62 & 63, just before sunset. l-r John Ruskey (stern) Heather Crosse, Chris Ruskey, and Whit Smith (bow). Miller and his team went on from here to complete the fastest top-to-bottom descent of the entire Mississippi River, 2350 miles, Lake Itasca to Gulf of Mexico in 16 days, 20 hours and 16 minutes.
