Mark River and John Ruskey talk about monthly "Community Canoe Trips" and how inclusion, diversity and equity are best served by inviting all walks of life on these excursions. Mark discusses with Matt Sutton of Spring Initiative (a local after-school program in Clarksdale, MS) how these Community Canoe Trips enrich the lives of the underprivileged students and residents of the area. Mark River interviews Neal Moore, adventurer and author of the blog "22 Rivers", about his experiences traversing the Mississippi by canoe and his thoughts on the future of the American river system. Also featuring "Reflections" by Mark River and a new song by John Ruskey.
“Greybeard: The Man, The Myth, The Mississippi” — Jan 15, 2023 at the Lookout Wild Film Festival (LWFF) in Chattanooga, Tennessee
I just received this from the man himself, Dale “Graybeard” Sanders:
The wait is over! The film “Greybeard: The Man, The Myth, The Mississippi” is scheduled to debut at the Lookout Wild Film Festival (LWFF) in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This premier showing will be January 15, 2023, the Sunday, afternoon matinee. This is a 90 minute full length film about my paddle down the Mississippi River this past summer. And will also feature footage from years past thought lost and gone forever. We are honored the hard work of the film crews and your donations is coming to life. After Chattanooga plans are to take the film on tour, showing it at festivals around the USA and hopefully beyond. So, if you want to see the film early and at the same time, mingle with movie makers, videographers, producers and adventure stars of our time, this festival is for you.
There are 84 other adventure films from 35 different countries to be shown at LWFF over that four day weekend. Starting on Thursday evening January 12th - Sunday night the 15th. Anticipate tickets will sell out. So please purchase your tickets, especially the weekend four day passes now. Thank you and enjoy! Looking forward to see you at the Festival.
