Greenville Community Canoe, December 6, 2025 Saturday, December 6th, 2025 Community Canoe will take place on the Mississippi River from Warfield Point State Park. Meet 12noon at the public boat ramp at Warfield Point State Park. There will be a short introduction and safety talk. Pack up and board our hand-crafted voyageur style big canoes — 10 person capacity — stable and safe. Paddle past the mouth of Lake Fergussen, the Greenville Harbor, and then on up to the nearby Tarpley Islands. Picnic and exploration stop. Pack your own water bottles and dress for weather. Wear shoes that can get muddy & wet, or go barefoot. Wear sun hat and sun screen. Return downstream to same boat ramp at Warfield Point. Trip duration will probably be 1-5pm, but might be as late as 6pm. Advance reservations required. 6 minimum, 18 maximum. 1-6pm, $50 each, $25 for educators, free for kids under 18 y/o. All paddle together, no previous experience necessary, but must be willing to paddle, and must wear life jacket! Made possible in partnership with the Lower Mississippi River Foundation.
